Case Name: Kent, Emily
Investigating Agents: Senior Field Operative Yasmine Sullivan, Operative Nathan Ezra
Report Submitted To: Assistant Director of Field Investigations Karl Xane with all necessary superiors in between our positions and Karl Xane's copied.
This case report is being submitted by Senior Agent Sullivan.
A demon had in fact possessed Fenton Murdock, a 41 year old male, and managed to sustain this possession long enough to reach the level of gamma. It is uncertain as to how the entity was able to remain outside of the organization’s detection for so long unfortunately. It would be necessary to develop more effective means of detection and or tracking such entities in order to increase chances of success in the future against similar entities.
Through a deal made, the demon was able to obtain a child. It was suspected that the demon would attempt to use the child either as a sacrifice to open a door into this world or as a means to draw in the child’s soul and reach a higher standing.
A thorough investigation revealed clues that made it possible to deduce where this ritual would take place. Upon arrival on the scene, the evaporating forms of a Golem that had been killed by a shotgun blast and a Grand Golem that had been killed by a single werewolf slash to its back were immediately discovered. The unusual large size of the slash marks that were in the back of the grand Golem were indicative of the attack being from that of a lesser wolf or a half transformed greater wolf.
Samples of the golems were still able to be obtained prior to full evaporation. No further action was necessary to cover up the golems’ existence due to their evaporation. <[Requesting Study of Obtained Samples]>
When we entered the cabin, it appeared the situation had already been resolved and upon interviewing the plain clothes and non-paranormal detectives there, we discovered that Villain Masari, suspected Executive Level Enforcer for the Silvanostri, had been present.
It is suspected that the supernatural abilities granted to Villain, from being of the species lycanus major <[subspecies and genus currently unknown]>, allowed him to detect the presence of arriving agents at which point he decided to vacate the premises prior to full arrival. As a result, Villain Masari was not available for questioning, capture, or study depending upon what the situation would have called for.
It is suspected that Villain was the one who had slain the Grand Golem and judging from patterns in the ground, it was determined that he did so to prevent what would be considered the accidental and unnecessary death of a member of law enforcement which is something typically frowned upon by the Silvanostri.
It is further suspected that it was Detective Janet Riley whom he saved from being absorbed by the Grand Golem, but it would appear as though she is unaware that this is the case. After a brief initial investigative interview with Detective Janet Riley, it is a conclusion that her sharp mind, skills, and prowess would make her a suitable potential recruit into the organization. <[Requesting Follow Up with Potential Candidate]>
It is also suspected that the Silvanostri resolved this matter due to it being within their known territory, but also potentially due to the political clout and gain that will come with Detective Fredrick Odin’s promotion. This would be the assumption due to the belief that Villain did banish the demon that was in Murdock prior to the demon completing the bargain of taking Detective Frederick Odin’s daughter. By rules and statues of the supernatural, this places the detective in debt to The Silvanostri. We decided that it would be best not to interfere with the affairs of the bargain at this time as they in no way violate any conditions of The Accord and do not appear to pose a threat to the organization.
In order to limit the spread of knowledge of the supernatural, Fenton Murdock, the person who was possessed by the demon, was charged with all the crimes in question despite him having no recollection of his actions and technically only having done those actions due to the demon that was once inside of him. Detective Janet Riley was against doing this initially as she found it unfair that this man be charged for doing things he had no control over, but she was later convinced that it would be best if he were charged as someone had to be charged with the crime and he was seen by the victim as the one who committed them.
Everything else that would have indicated that this was a supernatural occurrence appeared to have been removed prior to our arrival. It is suspected that this was also the doing of Villain as he is believed to be the only other person that was present that would have had motive to cover up what took place.
The child, Emily Kent, was discovered and the markings on her body indicated the demon’s intent to utilize her as a door way so that it would be able to enter our world from hell and then consume her physical body thus giving it a physical presence here. A solution comprised of 94% river water and 6% crystallized salt was made and the child’s markings were removed. The child has no recollection of any of the super natural aspects of the events that transpired and therefore no further action was taken in regards to her.
She was kept under observation for 10 hours before being returned to her mother, Katherine Kent. <[Location: 37 Evergreen Terrace – Quincy, AZ 85691]>
Given the above listed facts in this report, it is to my knowledge that the Emily Kent Kidnapping Case can be considered closed, effective immediately following the submission of this report.
